ABOUT JUSTINEJustine Leahy is an accomplished Line Producer living in Scotland, with over 10 years’ experience delivering ambitious, high-budget productions across Specialist Factual, Factual Entertainment, Feature Documentaries, and Drama. Known for her calm leadership and logistical planning, she brings clarity and control to complex productions managing teams, duty of care, compliance, and multi-stakeholder reporting.
Recent credits include Line Producer on Nak Muay (2025), a high end proof-of-concept for a feature slated to shoot in late summer 2026 in Bangkok. Directed by Tinge Krishnan and executive produced by Michelle Yeoh (Wicked, Everything Everywhere All at Once), John Penotti (Crazy Rich Asians), and Colin Pons (two-time BAFTA winner), Nak Muay marked a reunion with Disruptive Element Films, following her BAFTA-winning collaboration on Shadowscan (2001).
Other recent highlights include Line Producer on Pile Up: World’s Biggest Crash Test (2025) (Creative Scotland / Channel 4 / PBS / NOVA) — a world-first engineering experiment recreating a motorway pile-up with cutting-edge technology, over 110 cameras and crew, and a High-End Unscripted budget to explore multi-vehicle crash dynamics for the first time, shot on Location in Scotland.
Justine also line produced Channel 4’s Eden, a bold, multi-million-pound social experiment filmed over a year in remote Scottish wilderness. The show combined fixed-rig filming and large-scale logistics, described by NEP UK as their “most ambitious ever” production.
From wilderness to world-firsts, Justine thrives on turning challenging creative visions into successful, safe, and standout productions, and has successfully worked with Production companies based in London and Scotland, and on productions that filmed in Asia, America, Africa, India, Latin America and across the UK & Europe.

With extensive experience filming across Scotland and around the world, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities and demands of location-based production.
In Scotland, I have overseen long-term, high-end productions in remote and rural settings with large crews, as well as smaller feature documentary teams working in sensitive or high-risk environments — including filming in the favelas of Rio Afghanistan, and scripted drama shoots in Bangkok with combined UK and US teams.
Location Identification & Onboarding – Alongside Location Department, Sourcing, assessing, and securing potential locations, managing all associated permissions, contracts, and clearances.
Unit Base building & Scouting Management – Organising location recces, technical scouts, and coordinating logistics for creative and technical departments, overseeing any Unit base building.
Local Community & Supplier Relations – Building and maintaining positive working relationships with local authorities, landowners, and community suppliers to ensure smooth collaboration and good will on location.
Production Services Oversight – Recruiting and managing local production service partners, ensuring robust accounting, compliance, and operational structures are in place.
